After a full month, their host, their uncle, wished to remind them that they did not come merely to indulge, but their hearts had become hardened and callous And so they continued in drinking, dancing, singing, and feasting So their uncle reminded them of the purpose for which they had come and their intended goal He said, "O people, you have come here out of necessity to supplicate to your Lord for rain in the Sacred Mosque. So what is preventing you?" "Go and supplicate to your Lord, perhaps He will grant you rain." Murthad, who concealed his faith and was one of the leaders of the people, stood up He said, 'My people will not be granted rain by their supplication.' So the people looked at him and said, 'And why will we not be granted rain?' He said, 'You will not be granted rain unless you follow the Prophet of Allah, Hud.' They said, 'What are you saying?' He said, 'Yes, and I am upon his religion.' He revealed his faith at that moment He said that supplication and prayer would not benefit you because you are polytheists, and your deeds will be in vain He said, 'All of this will not benefit you. If you want rain to fall, then you must follow Hud.' So the people became angry with him, and they said, 'You will not accompany us to the Sacred Mosque.' They ordered their uncle to confine Murthad with them and not to let him go out with them for their prayers and supplications And this is what they did So the seventy men, accompanied by the three leaders, entered the Sacred Mosque near the Kaaba, and they raised their hands, supplicating to their Lord, the Almighty, to grant them rain Should we say that they are believers or polytheists? Even the disbelievers of the Quraysh believe in Allah, but they associate partners with Him by worshipping idols, claiming that they are intermediaries with Allah and that they do not worship them except to get closer to Allah They continued to pray fervently, and suddenly, they saw from a distance three clouds approaching in the sky Look at the response The response began immediately "As soon as we supplicated to our Lord, He responded to us." Then, behold, from afar, three clouds appeared: one white, one red, and one black
