For example, what does the Quran say? "And they say, 'None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian.'" Look at the phrase, it is a big claim: "None will enter Paradise except one who is a Jew or a Christian." What did the Quran say? "Those are their wishes." These are desires, desires, not facts. Why? Complete the verse: "Say, 'Produce your proof, if you should be truthful.'" You want these desires to turn into facts? There is a simple criterion: fulfill it. "Say, 'Produce your proof, if you should be truthful.'" This separates the wishful thinking from the real thinking. The Quran taught me this matter now. If your convictions are based on desires, you have wishful thinking that has no value. Wishes. If you want to move to real thinking, you must build on real data, on evidence and proofs. The demonstrative thinking in the Quranic expression. Therefore, this is useful for us, for example, even in what is most useful to us in political analysis. You find people saying, "By God, this country will collapse, and this country will be defeated, and this country will win." You say, "Do you have data? Do you have evidence? I mean, are you following? Are you following the arms race between these countries?" "No, by God, just desires." Yes. "This country is already collapsed, collapsed." And the analyses that spread and circulate among people that match their desires and wishes. Wishful analyses. Yes. Wishful analyses that depend on human desires. But you now, when you start from the Quran, you will realize that these do not hold up because it is wishful thinking, and the Quran wants you to build a demonstrative thinking. Look, for example, at the verse: "Rather, they have denied that which they encompass not in knowledge." This is a cognitive rule. That a person tends to deny what they are not accustomed to. You know? "I haven't seen this before, so this is not true." Yes. Therefore, look, for example, at some people who used to deny many narrations and hadiths because, in their belief, they did not know them. Al-Hasan al-Basri talks about the gates of Paradise. He says that the gates of Paradise, if you say to them, "Open," they open. Now, whoever reads this talk says, "Brother, how is this? Impossible. How does he say to the door, 'Open,' and it opens?" Today, you tell the device, "Write me a book," and it writes you a book. You know? When technology developed, it's not just saying, "Open the door," right? So, often, some verses related to Paradise and Hell, they used to deny them, saying, "Impossible." When technology developed, we discovered that communication is very easy, I mean. You know, for example, "How do the people of Hell address the people of Paradise?" For example, "And where are they, and where are those?" For example. Now it has become clear that the communication problem is not a problem at all. Communication, you can be at the end of the world and I am at the beginning of it, and yet we communicate. Correct. Right? Visually, too, not just by sound. So, many of the things they used to deny because they did not know them.
