"Who is this boy who dares to defy our gods that we worship? Isn't he afraid of them?" "Doesn't he fear that he might be afflicted with harm or madness?" But Ibrahim conveys his message with a compelling argument This was the argument We gave Abraham against his people. He came to speak to them about the idols that they worship and which they place in the streets and to which they give sacrifices They come to it with the sick to heal them from their illnesses and to provide for them This is how they used to do with their idols Abraham, peace be upon him, told them ˹Remember˺ when he questioned his father and his people, “What are these statues to which you are so devoted?” Imagine their devotion Many would come and sit for hours by this idol, praying to it and asking from it, sometimes staying in this state for hours They replied, “We found our forefathers worshipping them.” "When we came, we found our forefathers on this religion but we don't want to change it." Look at the weak proof "I'm speaking to you about something does not harm not give benefits, and you are speaking about your forefathers?" This is what many disbelieves say When you ask him why he is so attached to religion, he tells you that he doesn't want to change it "This is the religion of my forefathers. It's our original religion and we don't want to change it." This is their proof Abraham responded He responded, “Indeed, you and your forefathers have been clearly astray.” Ibrahim did not relent, nor did he ever indulge them
