تبقى لهم لان اعمارهم طويله واجسامهم قويه واوتو فصاحه من البيان وكانوا عربا مثل قوم عاد قوم عاد عرب العاربه وقوم ثمود ايضا عرب واعطاهم الله فصاحه في البيان وبسطه في الاجسام وخيرات وزروع وجنات وانهار ونحت الجبال نحت ليسكنوا فيه وليكون لهم متاعا اشتد العداء بين قوم ثمود ونبي الله صالح عليه السلام حتى جاء يوم من ايامهم يوم عيد لهم كانوا يخرجون الى مكان فيه صخره عظيمه جدا تسمى الكاتبه صخره ملساء كبيره ولانهم كانوا ينحتون الجبال وجابوا الصخره بالواد هذه الصخره كانوا يعبدون الهتهم عندها ويقربون لالهتهم القرابين في يوم عيدهم فتحد صالح عليه السلام قالوا له يا صالح ما رايك ان تخرج معنا في ذلك اليوم وهم يخرجون كلهم اعداد غفيره جدا في يوم العيد ونعمل تحدي بينا وبينك تدعو ربك وندعو ربنا مسوي اي شيء انت تدعو ونحن ندعو فان استجاب ربك لك امنا به وان استجاب الهنا لنا امنت به قبل صالح عليه السلام ذلك التحدي فخرج المشركون كلهم في يوم العيد وجاؤوا ينتظرون ما الذي سيحصل في هذا التحدي امام الصخره الكبيره العظيمه الملساء تلك الكاتبه فقالوا لصالح ما رايك ان ندعو انت تدعو ان يخرج ربك من هذه الصخره الكبيره الكاتبه هذه ان تنشق فيخرج فتخرج منها ناقه كبيره عشراء وخرج معهم الى ذلك المشهد العظيم واخذ يصلي ويدعو الله عز وجل امام الصخره يدعو ربه جل جلاله وهم يدعون الهتهم الا تخرج من هذه الصخره ا ناقه والناس ينظرون والناس كلهم يشاهدون واهل الايمان في مكان بعيد يترقبون خائفون ما يدرون ما الذي سيحصل واهل المشهد كلهم على ثقه ان لا
Their lifespans were long, their bodies strong, and they were endowed with eloquence in speech They were Arabs like the people of 'Ad The people of A'ad were pure Arabs and the people of Thamud are also Arabs Allah granted them eloquence in speech, broadness in physique, and blessings of crops, gardens, and rivers They carved the mountains to dwell in them and for provision The hostility between the people of Thamud and the Prophet of Allah, Saleh, intensified until the day of their appointed festival arrived "They used to go out to a place where there was an enormous rock called Al-Katibah A large smooth rock Because they used to carve mountains, they brought the rock from the valley They used to worship their gods near this rock and offer sacrifices to their idols on the day of their festival They challenged Saleh, peace be upon him, and said to him: 'O Saleh, what do you think if you come out with us on that day?' They all went out in very large numbers on the day of the festival "Let's have a challenge between us and you. You call upon your Lord, and we will call upon our Lord." "Then, if your Lord answers you, we will believe in Him, and if our Lord answers us, you will believe in Him." Saleh, peace be upon him, accepted the challenge So the polytheists all went out on the day of the festival, waiting to see what would happen in this challenge In front of the great, enormous, smooth rock called Al-Katibah So they said to Saleh, 'What do you think if we pray? You call upon your Lord to bring forth from this large, smooth rock, called Al-Katibah, a she-camel, big and ten-month pregnant.' He went out with them to that magnificent scene He began to pray and supplicate to Allah, the Almighty, in front of the rock While they were praying to their gods that no she-camel would come out of this rock, The people were all watching The people of faith were in a distant place, watching anxiously, as they did not know what would happen
