You claim, who is mightier than us? You dare challenge the Prophet of Allah with your words? Bring us then whatever you threaten us with, if what you say is true.” You couldn't control the rain? He totally destroyed you So the leaders decided it was necessary to perform prayers for rain They believe in Allah, but they associate partners with Him Where do they turn in times of distress? They turn to the One in the heavens Look at the nature of the disbeliever and the polytheist They said, "Where should we perform the prayers for rain?" They said, "We will go to Mecca, of course, as there is no better place than Mecca. We will go there and invoke Allah, the Almighty, to grant us rain." So they took seventy of their men, with four leaders One of the four leaders had actually believed in Hud, peace be upon him, but he concealed his faith. His name was Murthad The desert returned to its original state once again. Most of the crops died, and the reserves of food began to deplete The people who once boasted of their strength and tyranny over nations and their dominance over people and the Prophet of Allah, now their condition evokes pity The punishment began to spread among them The delegation set out for Mecca, to supplicate to Allah, the Almighty, for rain They arrived in Mecca, where some of their relatives and one of their uncles resided. They stayed with them They stayed with them for days, where they were served food and drinks, including wine They enjoyed themselves and were entertained with maidens As the days passed, they forgot the purpose for which they had come to that land Imagine, they forgot their people, who were hungry and thirsty, facing destruction They came to supplicate to their Lord for rain to quench their thirst, but they forgot all of this
