حلالاً وحراماً ووجوباً وطاعة ولكن الجن في ذلك الزمان أفسدوا في الأرض أيما فساد وكان الله عز وجل يرسل إليهم الملائكة تعاقبهم على فسادهم وعلى سفكهم لدماءهم وكان مع الملائكة أحد قادة الجن في ذلك الزمان وسمي إبليس وكان في مرتبة من العلم والدين والإيمان ما جعله الله عز وجل في مصاف الملائكة وكان يقاتل الضالين من الجن مع الملائكة وأحياناً كانت الجن تحبس في جزر في البحار عقوبة من الله عز وجل لهم كان منهم الصالحون ومنهم غير ذلك وسفكوا الدماء وأفسدوا في الأرض إلا ذلك الجني الذي بلغ مرتبة الملائكة فاغتر بنفسه إنه إبليس الذي عاش دهراً مع تلك الملائكة حتى جاء ذلك اليوم الذي يطلع الله عز وجل فيه ملائكته على أمر سيفعله جل جلاله وما هو الخبر استدعى الرب عز وجل الملائكة في الملأ الأعلى ليست كل الملائكة إنهم الملائكة في الملأ الأعلى فأخبرهم الرب عز وجل أنه يريد جل جلاله أن يخلق خلقاً جديداً وإذ قال ربك للملائكة إني جاعل في الأرض خليفة خليفة يعني يخلف بعضه بعضاً قوم يأتون أجيال جيل بعد جيل جيل بعد جيل هذا معنى خليفة يخلف بعضه بعضاً وإذ قال ربك للملائكة إني جاعل إني جاعل في الأرض خليفة فردت الملائكة من باب الاستفهام ومن باب الاستخبار هي تعلم ماذا فعلت الجن قبل الإنس من الإفساد من الضلال من سفك الدماء

English translation

Halal, haram, obligatory, and obedience, but the jinn at that time corrupted the earth with the utmost corruption. And Allah Almighty used to send angels to them to punish them for their corruption and for their shedding of blood. And with the angels was one of the leaders of the jinn at that time, and he was called Iblis. And he was in a rank of knowledge, religion, and faith that Allah Almighty placed him in the ranks of the angels. And he used to fight the misguided among the jinn with the angels. And sometimes the jinn were imprisoned on islands in the seas as a punishment from Allah Almighty for them. Among them were the righteous and among them were others, and they shed blood and corrupted the earth, except for that jinn who reached the rank of the angels, so he became arrogant with himself. It is Iblis, who lived for an age with those angels until that day came when Allah Almighty would inform His angels of a matter He would do, may His majesty be glorified. And what is the news? The Lord Almighty summoned the angels in the Highest Assembly, not all the angels, they are the angels in the Highest Assembly. So the Lord Almighty informed them that He wants, may His majesty be glorified, to create a new creation. "And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.'" Successive authority means one succeeds another, a people who come in generations, generation after generation, generation after generation. This is the meaning of a successive authority, one succeeds another. "And when your Lord said to the angels, 'Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority.'" So the angels replied from the door of inquiry and from the door of investigation. They know what the jinn did before humans, of corruption, of misguidance, of shedding blood.
